How CoExpys handles Coffee

We supply both green coffee beans and roasted coffee, depending on whether you buy for roasting locally or for the cup. Green beans are sourced in graded lots from Yunnan, Hainan and Fujian and shipped in hessian sacks, while roasted coffee is packed in degassing valve bags sized for retail or food-service. Coffee is a lot-specific product: the same variety from a different harvest or a different washing process is a different product, so the contract references the exact lot, and we confirm origin, moisture, and screen size against that lot at inspection.

Every shipment is quoted against a confirmed specification, packed to the format agreed for your channel, and documented so the Cuban side can clear it without guesswork.

Shipment handling

Packing, loading, inspection and clearance

Typical packing

Roasted coffee in degassing valve bags inside cartons for retail and food-service sizes; green beans in 60 kg hessian sacks with a grain-proof liner for container shipping.

Enquiry units

Bag, sack, or FCL 20ft / 40ft. Green coffee is quoted per lot; roasted coffee per format.

Container load

A 20ft container holds around 320 sacks of 60 kg green coffee, about 19.2 MT. Roasted coffee loads by case count and depends on the retail format.

Inspection focus

Moisture and screen size check, defect and foreign matter screen, cupping or sample roast against the reference for roasted lots, and verification that the lot marking matches the origin and grade certificate.

Clearance notes

Phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and the lot grade certificate. For roasted coffee, the food registration and label language requirements must be confirmed with the Cuban team before production.
